Enjoy the amazing hydrating and alkaline properties of this tasty juice! Green tea not only is packed full of antioxidants to prevent ageing and disease but is also very alkaline, helping to remove acidity in the muscles and keeping the blood healthy. Cucumber and coconut is incredibly hydrating for the muscles, skin and connective tissue, great as the weather becomes warmer! Lemon balm is fantastic for soothing away muscle aches and joint pain so get hold of some and add it in if you get a chance!
Ingredients (makes approx 1.5L):
3 green tea bags
500ml coconut water
Juice from 2 lemons
Optional: 50ml lemon balm cordial (www.lusciouslucycornwall.com)
Boil water in a saucepan and add teabags, stew for 3-4 minutes and put to one side to cool.
Either juice whole cucumber or if no juicer, skin the cucumber and blend (makes for a thicker juice!). In a large jug, mix tea, cucumber juice, coconut water and lemon juice, stir together and add in lemon balm cordial if you’re using it.
Allow to chill in the fridge for a few hours or pour over ice and enjoy immediately!
