Gratitude

Each morning, the moment you wake up, call on joy and love.  Instead of starting the day by thinking of the various tasks waiting for you say “Thank you for the fact that I am still alive, able to breathe, eat, walk, see, hear, think and love for these are priceless treasures” then get up full of joy.  And learn to give thanks also for each instance of unpleasantness in life as this is the best way to neutralise them and know that there is a greater reason why you are being faced with them. Nothing can withstand gratitude. Give thanks for what you have and what you do not have, for what gives you joy and for what makes you suffer.  Even if you are unhappy you must find a reason for giving thanks. In this way you will keep the flame of life alight within you.
